As many of you know, we officially opened our doors for business with a BIG bang just under 2 weeks ago! The opening went fantastic and we had an amazing turn out of people (thank you all!). We sent out a notecard to our group ‘Free Speerit’ with a list of our whole inventory, including pictures, but here is a quick refresher of a few of those new releases!

 So, what’s new?

Our newest sets include “Samantha”, a lingerie outfit, and a sportswear outfit. Samantha comes with a very detailed corset, silk panties and prim frills. The Sport outfit comes with a sports bra, sports jacket, running shorts, running capris, and running trousers.

An outfit that we have just been dieing to release (literally!) is ”Sandra”, in both black and white. Fiest your eyes on these…

 We have also just released 8 different coloured ”Undone Shorts”. They come in a default jean colour, Washed, Grey, Night, Fire, Teal, Teal Squares and Purple Spots. For all of you that are wandering… Yes, they do have the Kickass Jeans bums.

Yeah, any excuse for us to release another freebie…. not like anyone’s complaining, right?

 For St. Patty’s Day, we’re giving away an exclusive color of our brand new hair, Patricia(named St.Patricia, for festive purposes)! Not only that, but the freebie includes a cute hat and a pair of FS eyes in shamrock green. Mosey on over to FreeSpeerit and find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Free Speerit

I’d now like to explain what Free Speerit is, because we are not a normal shop and I’d like to explain my thoughts and ideas so not to create confusion.

So, where do I start? Free Speerit is a bit abstract but at same time simple.
When I asked myself a question of ‘What is Second Life?’, I found it sometimes difficult to explain. I have found so many things here and all kinds of people. Some begin working within SecondLife; some for fun, some to learn and the list goes on…
So I ask myself again, What is Second Life? Peoples opinions are wide ranged, for me I found that Second Life is a way of comunication and what I wanted to do with Free Speerit is express myself. For all the people that want to follow us, I promised myself not be hypocritical, to not follow the rules, to be FREE and to express myself. Maybe I did make mistakes at first, but from now I will try not enter conflict with the freedoms of other people. In the end, when I go to the official page of SL I don’t find anything that says to me what Second Life really is, it just says “Your world, Your Imagination”, and this is what I will do… MY world with MY imagination. You can agree with us or disagree, you can hate us or love us, and that proves you are so free and able to express yourself in any way. That is what I want for everyone. In the end I could say thousands of words, but I think the actions here speak so much louder than the words.

Please, understand that we aren’t any better than anyone, that we aren’t untouchable designers. We are people like you that enjoy Second Life in all the ways we can, all the ways that Second Life offers us. We roleplay, we go shopping, we speak with people, we laugh, we do drama (like you dont!?), we cyber, we work, we create, we observe art, we give opinions, we explore… I can go on. In definition we ENJOY Second Life to the maximum. We are people like anyone else here in Second Life.

As you can see the shop contains all kinds of things as we aren’t attached in a style. We do what we like and what we want and we don’t care who TRIES to copy us and who or what other people do. If we like something we will just do it, no body in Second Life has exclusivity on something.

Now to an important topic that is hitting the Second Life fashion world this week. You guessed it, CONTENT THEFT. I assume you have heard a lot about this, and of course I DON’T SUPPORT THEFT CONTENT. I want you to realise that when people make clothes or anything else in Second Life, they work hard to do it and everyone should be conscious of that. Let me just explain a thing that goes on  and happened with Free Speerit… When friends encouraged me to create a shop I said “Why? People will rip my textures anything.”, and a friend replied, “This doesn’t matter, people will buy it anyway.” That words had some truth. I suddenly applied my RL design knowkledge and I thought the internet is made to be copied, yes every bit u put here u should assume that will be copied thousand times, it’s the internet nature. And I assumed that piracy WILL always be around, in real life and Second Life. It is in movies, videogames, music, books, etc

So I said I won’t sell clothes it really is not my intention to sell clothes, the prices of the shop are just ridiculous, I give away lots of freebies and lots of them are more than 50 hours of work. You can think I am crazy, but I’m not, my intention is sell people things that cannot be copied, and what are these things?
Well they are things like fidelity, quality, feelings, joy, cooperation, knowledge, opinion, fun, community and another one that is important for me,  COMUNICATION. And really is what i would like to see people do. In the end i could get the vogue magazine and do the dresses like that, prolly I would do more money, prolly FS would be like any other shop of SL, and prolly I would get bored. People can buy the dresses, etc. Some money don’t hurt me. But do an impersonal shop is not the way I thought, and I prefer seeing people enjoy, expliting their creativity, making activities, doing photos, etc, tahn any other tihng.

So I just say think for youserlf, support the designers that you like, but not for compassion or fashion, because people say, charity etc, support them if you think they offer you something unique that you really enjoy.

That’s the moral issues.

Now I want to let you know about the group. The Free Speerit group is public but at the same time private. What does this mean? Well don’t expect Free Speerit will be another ghost group that only send notices of news, I did the group to do something more, if u only want to know the news please leave and join fashion consolidated because I will announce the news things there. Instead of this, Free Speerit will be a open group of opinion, so you should deal with my opinions, critics, jokes, etc. I want to do events, more original things and create in some form a community that is enjoyed. The same form I allow people to express is freedom in the group, people are allowed to speak, argue, play, enjoy Free Speerit, etc, all except spam.

That’s about it! Hope you enjoy Free Speerit and understand that we aren’t a normal shop, we break rules, we enjoy all forms of Second Life, you can find anything here, anything of our creativity, freedom and mind creates, we express ourselves in free form and we want to support all the poeple with new and interesting ideas. We just want to offer a new point of view of Second Life, and I hope that if you are with us you enjoy all what we are doing and will do, also feel free to join us. Our first objective is not money, is create a comunity to enjoy, a way of comunication and exploit Second Life.

I don’t have an stablished way of what Free Speerit will be, instead of this wil be people that builds it, so all depends the reaction, cooperation and comunication of people.

So here we are! Just have fun in what we are doing.
Maybe I am wrong maybe I am not, only time will say, but I should try.
I want to offer people new exciting possibilities in Seocnd Life, because I still have faith in people, and still I really think that people arent sheeps and that people what really wanna do is enjoy.
